| Commercial/Private Groups/Individuals |
Outside groups desiring to use the school facilities for profit or personal use shall be charged the maximum rental rate plus listed charges for custodial, technical, supervisory, security services as needed (ex. dance schools, travel teams, adult sports leagues and businesses), |
| Public and Community Service Organizations with Admissions |
Organizations that charge an admission fee which will gross more than $1,500.00 per performance will be charged a rental rate reflective or their non-profit status (ex. Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) events, Westmoreland Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL) events, Westmoreland Symphony). When the activity requires the district to provide additional custodial, technical, supervisory or security staff, the Public and Community Service Organizations with Admissions shall assume responsibility for the cost of such services. |
| Public and Non-Profit Community Service Organizations with No or Minimal Admissions |
Entertainment or recreational activities, sponsored by civic groups within the boundaries of the District, at which an admission charge may or may not be assessed, but whose proceeds may devolve to the public welfare, not to the District (ex. Junior Wrestling, Recreation Board Teams with volunteer coaches, developmental/feeder programs, YMCA, Police Departments, Fire Departments, Rotary, Lions, Churches, Municipal Agencies, County Band, County Chorus, Westmoreland Intermediate Unit, Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League Meetings. Public and Community Service Organizations may be permitted to use school facilities on a rent free and/or reduced rate, as determined by the District. When the activity requires the District to provide additional custodial, technical, supervisory or security, all Public and Non-Profit Community Service Organizations shall assume responsibility for the cost of such services. When a Greensburg Salem team is participating in the event, the facility may be rent free or a reduced rate. |
| School Affiliated Organizations |
Groups which provide educational activities related to the school program and whose proceeds go directly to benefit the Greensburg Salem School District and its students (ex. PTO/PTA's, Booster organizations, Parent organizations, employee recreational groups, scholarship groups, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts). School Affiliated Organizations shall be permitted to use school facilities at no cost. When the activity requires the District to provide additional custodial, technical, supervisory or security, the groups shall assume responsibility for the cost of such services. |
| School Sponsored Organizations |
Groups which provide educational activities that are part of the school program and are under staff supervision. These include high school and middle school clubs (ex. Student Council, National Honor Society, French Club, Spanish Club, etc.). School Sponsored organizations shall be permitted to use school facilities on a cost free basis. When the activity requires the District to provide additional custodial, technical, supervisory or security, the groups shall assume responsibility for the cost of such services. |
